Blog Wars

Dear Diary,
I won’t beat around the bush, what goes on at school, could last 2 years of televised drama. There's enough goss to keep me entertained in Maths class for the next 20-years, not that I would stay learning Maths for that long. I've also stopped watching the usual dramas, House, The O.C and Desperate Housewives, they got nothing against the events of Year 11. And whatever it looks like, I didn’t make this cause I wanted to join the bandwagon. My diary got stolen few months ago *wipes tear* and I usually write this kind of crap in there. Now that’s explained, the next wall of text you’ll be reading is totally my opinion, and does not reflect upon the ideas of others.

I enjoy reading blogs in my spare time, namely:
They're wonderful, and reading them makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. They'll also be the protagonists in this story. Yeah.. story, I'm pretty bad at them, so bear with the broken storylines, awkward sentences and grammar that would make my English teacher cry. Every story needs an antoagonist right? Our special antagonist for tonight is somewhat obvious, but I'm bound by certain privacy policies not to name people. Just scroll through the posts I linked earlier..

Annnd welcome back. Crystal clear now right? We'll just call her Dienes. Dienes are a type of hydrocarbon alright. Nothing weird, madeup or anything, google it if you're suspicious. I have nothing against Dienes, apart from the fact her name now reminds me of Chemistry, and I .. hate Chemistry with a firey passion. Dienes isn't exactly the sweet little girl from around the corner, heck, she could give Ms. Dolores Umbridge from the ministry a run for her money with all the uproar she's caused. But how did this all start? Other blogs couldn't fill this part in, so I'll try my best, using cliche scenarios you've all seen in movies.

Girl likes boy
Boy doesn't like girl
Boy likes other girl
Falls in love
Girl gets jealous and scarily emotional
And et cetera till it escalates from a silent war into a widely publicized blog war.

So now you know the main characters, and the scene? The scene's set in a typical school which most of you are familiar with.. and again, I can't just write out the name plainly here. I know what you're thinking, 'messed up story hey? Can't even know the names of anything.'
I'm sorry, I didn't ask you to hang around and read my massive wall of text. Ctrl+W for the Way out.
Ahem anyway. The much awaited Awards Night was held a few nights ago, the night ran smoothly and the entertainment was awesome. Following 3 hours of monotonous award receiving it came to the stage of announcing the School Captains of 2010.

-Suspense-

Ho. The Captains were announced, but amid the jubilant cheers erupting from either side of me, I could sense murmurs of confusion, disapproval and annoyance. Honestly, I believe some of them deserved their position and kudos to all of them for going through the process of School Captain, however I can't help but think the voting process wasn't completely fair.

This school is mainly composed of students coming from an asian background. To hell with those shy asian stereotypes, a fair amount of asians did put their names up for school captain, and most of them were brilliant in every way.
Smart, talented, funny and not to mention the potentially kick-ass leadership skills we all could see. I'm not saying here that the current captains don't have those qualities, so don't read into it.

Could we see how the votes went? Nope.
So this question floating around, was it rigged, was it fair? Can't be answered. Teacher's arn't popes of the community, they can take 'alternative routes' to this voting system. Sure, they all get one equal vote, but who's to say they can't 'pull out' certain students from the final votes count or 'exclude votes' from the pile collected by each clan teacher?

Sad but true, I do think principals have a larger say than the rest of the school community. It's their school to run, and they run it how they see fit, whether it be completly disregarding the election and choosing her/his own Captains or ignoring the Governments healthy eating revolution and hosting 'Junk Food Days' in the tuckshop.

But how does this all fit into my story? This 'conspiracy' however you'd like to label it, is the foundation of which my story is based. Maybe you've read it, maybe you havn't, but the night following Awards Night several blog posts were spread around The Internet flaming the choice of School Captains.

Racism? Maybe
Discrimination? Yep
That's what most will tell you now, and that's how it seems in black and white.
I could go on about my opinions but that story can wait for later.

-Continues-

The antagonist of our story, Dienes, was already brimming with jealousy and hate at this point. Then the storm came.
Her crush and long-time obsession, JaCe, had fallen for another. Heartbroken and angry, she cried a river during Lunchtime. But that wasn't the end of it, she needed revenge to make her heart content. So how was she going to get back at the girl who her crush had fallen for? Lucky for her.. these blog posts surfaced..

The next day, the evil side of Dienes truelly reared its ugly head when it came to morning tea. She brought out the blog posts one by one, and beautiful as they were, everyone knew they were at school to serve a deadly purpose. In the next hour, rumours of Dienes' plan had circulated around the school. She had the blogs, safe in her chubby hands and everyone cringed as she showed the papers around to the School Captains of '10. How soon would it be till she gave them into the principal?

Well now we know two things:
1. The bloggers are in so much shit
2. The bloggers are going to flame Dienes hardout tonight.

Dienes [Noun] Pronounced; [Die-een-se]
1. A hydrocarbon which contains two double bonds
2. A person whom takes jealousy too far and desperately seeks pity friendship, attention and has yet to realize the world does not revolve around her.

The rest is still unwritten, so think of this as a .. live blog.
Look forward to tommorow

Adios loves.

P.S. I do like anagrams.
